Had an amazing stay for my birthday! The room was super comfortable—like a little slice of heaven. Staff were so friendly and even added small birthday decorations, which meant a lot. The location was perfect and looked exactly like the photos—no catfish here! Would definitely stay again.
Mawimbi is a beautiful boutique hotel right on the edge of town so it’s both peaceful and convenient. The staff is very hospitable and welcoming. We found the servers to be delightful. One night my son was crying as were walking to our room and a server brought him a strawberry to cheer him up. I was so impressed by the gesture. The outdoor space is magical with all the landscaping and lounge areas. I love the fire at night! The rooms are spacious and beautiful with great balconies and hammocks. We will be back!
What an amazing stay for my 50th birthday. From the minute of arrival to our final meal everything was just perfect. Friendly and attentive staff, great location and wonderful food and drinks. We have never been to Holbox before and this hotel was exactly what we wanted. The location was walking distance to the town and the beach was right outside our door. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. We are excited to plan a future visit to see the friendly staff again. Keep up the great work.

What an amazing hotel! It was a little slice of paradise for us. We sent 10 days on Holbox and at Mawimbi! We stayed in on of the junior suites, which were just lovely. Very simple rooms, but comfortable and cosy. The beds were super comfortable and a lovely nights sleep every time. The restaurant is also fantastic, the breakfast was always really tasty although a little more choice would have been nice on the free options! We also ate lunch and dinner and every time it was really really delicious and such an insane setting to have food on the beach and by the fire in the evening. The location of the hotel is also fantastic, bang on the beach but you can easily walk everywhere in Holbox! Would come back in a heartbeat! Thank you for the perfect stay.
This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. From the welcome cocktail to the amazing breakfast, the gorgeous tropical landscape, the turquoise beach and the amazing staff. We were visiting to celebrate a friend's birthday and the staff went above and beyond helping us celebrate. They decorated her room with balloons, brought out a dessert with a sparkler and sang to her. We felt like we were a part of their family by the time we left. The owner was lovely and Salvador truly made our trip. He welcomed us with the warmest energy every morning, gave us recommendations daily, and just had the best spirit. He even brought his adorable little dog with him every day. We had such a wonderful time relaxing on the beach, drinking delicious cocktails, meeting all of the staff (Moses, Salvador, Facundo, Alejandro and Onny the owner). We had been to Holbox once before and our experience did not compare to our amazing time at Mawimbi. I hope we will be back very soon. Cannot recommend this place more. If I could give it 10 stars I would.
